Entrepreneurship Practices and Profitability among Farmers in Jos, Nigeria

This study seeks to examine the relationship between Entrepreneurship practices and level of profitability among farmers in Jos. The covered small medium scale farmer entrepreneurs within Jos North, South East. A sample size 518 was obtained from population 834 at 5% error tolerance 95% confidence, using Simple Random Sampling. self-structured questionnaire used collect data. 505(97.5%) distributed were returned. conducted a pre-test on ensure validity instrument. Data collected presented descriptive statistics frequency tables. financial ratios such as gross profit margin, net returns assets, sales per year total assets measures measure profitability. average values for margin are 29.47%, 19.2% 8.2% respectively; result shows that an individual this can boast high profit. recommends other things governments all levels should work create more conducive environment make profitable investments agriculture.
